I’m Andrea!

I’m the baker behind Cedar Baking Company and I’m also a food photographer, recipe developer, freelance writer and former yoga and fitness instructor of 10+ years. I plan to combine my love for baking and my teaching background to provide cooking classes in the near future!

My passion is baked goods made with high-quality ingredients. It’s a joke among family and friends that I can’t get through a day without bringing up KAMUT® Brand Wheat (or Disneyland but that’s another story) and I try to avoid GMO ingredients and fake dyes whenever possible. This way I don’t feel any guilt or worry about eating out or on vacation (where I have little control over ingredients) because I know the vast majority of my family’s food is high-quality and nutrient dense – even the treats!

Why Cedar? My home kitchen (where I create all of my recipes!) is surrounded by beautiful Cedar trees. One of them is estimated to be close to 200 years old! And cedar trees are a symbol of longevity and strength which blends perfectly with my food philosophy.
